Current Admissions

Please read the information given below which gives details of our admission arrangements for the school.

'NORMAL ROUND':  Reception-Place Applications for a September Start

When can I apply?

On-time Reception admission applications for 4-year old children are open from mid-November to mid-January for a start the following September.

How do I apply?

Online is best.  https://new.devon.gov.uk/educationandfamilies/school-information/apply-for-a-school-place/apply-for-a-primary-school-place .  Any problems with this, please contact the school or try phoning 0345 155 1019 ( Admissions team).  Please do not apply to the school directly as we do not handle RECEPTION admissions for September starts.

When will I hear if my child has a place?

Devon CC will inform you by letter. The exact date you will hear will be confirmed soon, but it will be sometime in mid-April for a standard September start.

Can I appeal?

If you are unhappy with the decision made contact the Devon Admissions Team on 0345 155 1019 as soon as possible after initial notification.

Can I look around the school before I decide?

Yes of course!  You can make an appointment. Call us 01548 560494

'IN-YEAR':  Application for a Place during the School Year

We are a Church of England Academy primary school.  Please read the Admissions Policy (above - for entry year in question) as it explains admissions procedures in our school.

You are welcome to come in to school, to meet the staff and have a look around before you make a decision on whether to apply for a place. Please call 01548 560494 to make an appointment.

The next steps are:

  • Please apply through https://new.devon.gov.uk/educationandfamilies/school-information/apply-for-a-school-place/apply-for-a-primary-school-place for those resident in-county and the county council will contact us to see if we have any space.  {You may wish to pre-empt an application by contacting the school to check on space availability}.  Ultimately, as we are an Academy, all admissions will be decided by the Trust Board.
  • If you live out of the county or even abroad, we recommend contacting the school first as we will be able to advise on space availability.  If this is difficult, please apply directly online (as above).

The administrator will contact you and ask you to complete various forms which are essential for us to admit your child on to our school roll. These may be sent to you in the post and will need to be returned to the school office.
